As much as I enjoy this album I definitely go back to Aura more often. This feels almost too polished for the style they play.

I like how pristine it feels . This brand of atmospheric metal doesn't really benefit from lower fi production imo. I wish spectral lore would harken my worss here

disagree on both counts. Spectral Lore is just fine, he just needs to condense his ideas a bit.



i think pristine production leads to a homogenization of this brand of black/folk metal

this needs the clear production because it's not just drums and guitar and shrieks. those violins would sound like crap with typical ABM mixing.
