Matty is in this constant cycle of writing retadedly bad religious lyrics, getting some criticism for it, then writing lyrics about his haters

all of the singles from this have been bad (why is Jacoby Shaddix here??)

Ugh, what's so disappointing about this album is how good the opening track is. I'm like OMG MMF circa The Hollow is back! Let's go boiizzzz. Then it just immediately falls off in to average crap and by the half mark I seriously just wanted the album desperately to end. I was having real trouble finishing this shit, how long is it? Feels like one of the longest albums I've ever sat through.

Opening track isn't even one of the highlights though.

Snide what would you say the highlights are? I agree with DreamAgain that the opening is sweet but Sever the Ties is also a banger

Your list includes two of the worst tracks on the album.

Good review mate.

Anyway, the lyrics are more cringe than ever imo - I could barely make it through some songs...

I'd actually agree with snide, those were my highlights as well. "Wanting More", "That's Just Life", and "Live It Well" are the truly bad tracks.

Every Track is bad, I just think those mentioned were some of the worst. The tracks you mentioned were just forgettably bland and unmemorable.

I mean I kinda enjoy the tracks sempi mentioned but they're pretty stagnant compared to the highlights of the album.

It hurts me to give this album a 3 because I loved their previous works. I just don't feel this album, no improvements and lyrics are too cheesy for me.

Made the mistake of going to warped while I was living in Cali with some mates last year, these guys are attrocious live. Don't really see the appeal in any of their recent releases.

Hmm I saw them live a few years ago and they were pretty good, this was pre-Unconditional.

They've been going downhill in quality since their debut anyway, but I don't think they'll ever reach the lows of Unconditional again.

Why won't this band just make Sleepwalking 2.0?

Never was fond of this band to begin with, and this album did not change that

I'm pleasantly surprised at this...I think it's a step up from Challenger and definitely a step up from Unconditional. At this point in listening to MMF, when I hear a new album by them I just wonder if the music is going to be awesome and overcome the vocals because the vocals are what they are and I'm just not that young anymore so they just don't appeal to me. I think the production of this album is light years better than the last couple though. You can tell it's a different producer. So, overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with this and enjoying it more than I thought I would. Not The Hollow or Sleepwalking still, but the music and production are major steps up, in my opinion. I'll listen to this from time to time. :-)
