Clarity, Bleed American, and Futures are some all-time favorites. Chase This Light was fine for me 10 years ago, but I'm not a big fan anymore. Invented bored the shit out of me, which crushed me a bit. And I think I listened to Damage once. I seriously forgot Damage existed until I started typing this paragraph. I was ready to give up on future material pleasing me.
But it's very refreshing to read this review and hear it hearkens back to the passion and energy of some earlier stuff. I think I listened once upon release and gave up.
Coming back to it now, You With Me and Sure and Certain are....bangers? They could have fit onto Futures. I'm intrigued. Going to give this the full listen it deserves.

This album is solid as fuck- easily their best work since Futures, imo.
Hot take, though...
Pass the Baby is far and away the worst song on here.

"Damn, this album never gets old."
it was released like a year ago lol

lolz.
I might have it rated too high, but seeing them live made several of these songs better for me

Pass the Baby is a highlight for sure

Alright, one listen. I already like this more then CTL, Invented, and Damage. Going to need to give it a second, more respectful listen tonight in my cans after some hits from the bong. Gotta immerse myself. I think the beginning and the end of the album stand out to me so far.

This overtook Futures as my favorite Jimmy Eat World to be quite honest.

I got the transparent orange copy of Clarity, but both my Integrity Blues and Bleed American copies are black

missed u baby
just take a break?
Mine might be clear? But now I can't find it on the Amazon page. No serial/UPC. Maybe the 2015 Capitol Records one? I guess I'll find out! Shipment comes with Blackwater Park and the new Entheos record as well, I'm psyched.
I've been listening to these guys for years, but never fell hugely in love with them. But over the last 4-5, I've started to. Just so many memories attached to each record since Bleed American. Clarity and Static Prevails clicked with me hard out of nowhere just recently.
Just need to get Futures on vinyl when I'm not broke
So, like I said I would, I spun Futures for the first time in ages, on the commute home. It's even better than the last few dozen times where I let it slip into the background while I game or read Reddit. It just resonated. Lovely stuff.

You With Me, The End is Beautiful are the songs I had been waiting years for these guys to write without even knowing it. a shame some of the rest is underwritten but hey it all sounds good

To me bleed American will always be the best one

Huh, so I went back and listened to Bleed American and Chase This Light last night. I enjoyed Bleed American much less than I remember, and enjoyed Chase This Light much more than I remembered. Interesting. Poppy AF but still fun.

"sowing is as sowing does"
And damn proud of it. Don't base my opinions on anything but my own enjoyment of the music. This is my top Jimmy, then Futures, then BA, then Clarity probably.

Also this band's version of Last Christmas bangs, it just came on the radio I'd almost forgotten about it.
