Maybe you're not into the emotional journey this album takes you on?

I think this one just has a handful of tracks I’m not huge on. Compared to most of their other material that I dig all the way through.

this album just feels like a retread of stuff they've done better on previous albums, like I get it's basically a culmination of their discog but it just comes off a bit stale to me
still a good album, just think it's their weakest

For me it feels like a journey. A walk through time. All the emotions that culminated through a long career. It hits hard for me.

It's all that they had before them, but realized to its full potential. You have the more big-chorus influence/pop kind of leanings of Killer merged with the explosive technicality of Calculating. Sounds closer to Miss Machine and I think it succeeds in being one of their heaviest offerings while also being incredibly catchy and, to an extent, accessible. Greg's vocals are also spectacular.

that's probably subjective anyway, but it's fair to say there is an emotional component at play since it's their farewell album
