I really appreciate all the technical stuff this band did and all, but Symptom of Terminal Illness is easily my favourite on here

I think they're done personally, band said there was a lot of tension between them towards the end but time heals most things.

Yeah it stings more and more as time passes that they're done. One of those bands I loved when I was younger but am appreciating better as my tastes evolve. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Sometimes bands call it quits when they hit their limit of a project monopolizing their time. They get married, have kids, and change as people, and are ready to be done. But give it a few years, let them express themselves in other bands, let the steam out, have that time with their family and with themselves, and all of the sudden a reunion starts to look appealing.

I can't rank this band, this and OOUITK are the only albums I haven't 5'd by them.

I remember a time when there were a few bands in those ranks, (Mastodon, Opeth, Gojira, Agalloch, etc) but then time kept moving forward and one by one all of their perfect discogs would be fucked up with one or two missteps
Not these guys, though

TDEP is just on another level. If the band never broke up, I do wonder if they would still carry on their consistent streak.

I feel like the well ran dry.
They let it all out and we got this record.
