this is a sweet record but dang its just neither special nor consistent enuf to give a 4 to. same with joyce manor's last two LPs, but the debut really stood out.

Yeah same here. First half had potential but second half minus "Stairs" is a bit more uneventful.

at least Last You Heard of Me is still killer

only reason i didnt jam it much last year was cuz my ipod broke and my hard drive crashed, so i lost all my JM stuff. but i did think about this album a fair bit: "fake i.d.", "eighteen", "last you heard of me" and "song is a mess" are songs that keep comin back to me in my head; absolutely didnt "forget" em. the rest isnt bad but it aint gold either.

This album definitely has fun energetic summer songs on the first half. First three dogs are very strong. Stairs is obviously the best song on the album but I’ve been loving Never Hungover Again so much more than this one.

I hate how catchy this is and how I WANT to dislike it more since their LP is perfect and nothing like this, but this is so fucking fun. This band has a serious knack for writing ear worms 🐛
