I think this album is pretty disappointing and it misses something that SLATFATS had in abundance: speed.

yeah SLATFATS has more fast-paced/shorter songs overall, but I can't deny some of these songs sound like they could have been on that album (or at least recorded right after it).

I lost interest after Wolves in wolves clothing with their absolute highlight being the period from SLATFATS through Pump up the Valuum (with The Decline as a career/genre/life highpoint.

Havent got any hopes for this but you got me interested so checking it out now!

yeah. songs like bye bye biopsy girl and deadbeat mom are the kind of tracks that felt like a throwback to their SLATFAST days to me. And yeah Valuum and Shoes are obviously much better than this, but I still think this is their best in years (much better than coaster and self entitled at the very least)
