if I'm one of the minority of people who finds Koloss the most enjoyable (not necessarily the best) out of their discography, will I like this?

lol this is not their most straightforward record. It's a crazy leap forwards and stands head and shoulders over the last two. Not surprising given that it's very much Haake's album this time - he's the lead writer on 8/10 songs and his main writing partner on 6 of them is actually Dick.

The band has never used subtle metric modulations embedded in a polymeter before like on the title track, for starters.

'Honestly, if you've heard one Meshuggah album you've heard em all and that's totally fine with me.'

What? The first 5 albums all have very unique identities.
