I was 16 when it came out. I even bought the CD.

Great cover, great story and great songs.

It is a tad weaker than its predessors overall. But my main grief is the sound. These clicking and utterly powerless drums plagued late 90s metal, but seldomly as bad as on this. It's generally a crime to take out the power of an album like that, but if you take the power out of of a superfreak monster drummer like Nick Barker it nearly amounts to a crime against humanity...

Oh Don welcome to 1998. The remaster fixes all that.

In our dreams, at least.

the production on the original rules and after hearing the new version of lustmord and wargasm i may actually still prefer it but that's 15 years of nostalgia talking. the guitar mixing seemed a bit off on the new version to me tbh. still, glad they are doing this and excited for the full album

Very nice to hear another take on that perfect Cradle track. Seriously. It's one of their best.

I agree with you though Spirit, the original has something sinister about it that I couldn't immediately find here. Nick is a total beast though, as this proves once again. Stoked for the whole thing.

huh, that was interesting those guitars are a bit much agreed, especially when they first kick in. I'm listening on headphones and I feel like we can be a little critical for a remix/remaster that took 2 years to come out. it was very... whelming. The synths do sound nice and huge though, and the production is much more full which is nice. The drums sound like realer drums, but those guitars, i don't know yet.. do I prefer the original? time will tell.

Yeah those guitars are certainly something. Very curious how tracks like The Twisted Nails Of Faith are going to sound.
