I can understand the dislike for Shelter, but it does it for me.

The two songs that I named alone make a third of that album's runtime. On top of that, there isn't one weak track on it (all are decent at least), and furthermore it's probably Alcest's most well-rounded album as the mood flows seamlessly from song to song. But, like I said, I too think that it is their weakest effort and I kinda understand why one would find it sort of boring.

I think it's a special one, you definitely need to hear it dbizzles. It's blackgaze I would say, kind of similar to Alcest but with a darker tone and acoustic guitars.
