I love how adventurous and unpredictable Heritage is. Also the rhythm section is stunning (2)

This so much.

I completelty disagree! My vinyl copy sounds incredible!

I've read negative stuff about the production on several websites and in other reviews and it completely baffles me. I love it.

Glad you agree! Incredible track. Fredrik smashes that solo live.

Fredrik has always been a great player, he just took a while to come into his own.

Definitely. I have no qualms whatsoever now. His style was just a bit alientating when I first heard it in comparison with Lindgren.

Don't know, I preordered the vinyl box when this came out and was totally disappointed by how indistinct and dull it sounds. I really dig this one but production is def the greatest issue on here for me.

Can only agree on that as Heritage was the reason I gave this band a second chance after initially been turned off by Mikael's growling. I just wasn't able to recognize how beautifully crafted the music was at that time. In the meantime however I'm totally into all of their stuff and preferring the earlier stuff by far. Ghost Reveries and MAYH are flawless masterpieces and quickly gained a place among my most beloved albums ever.
