Production reminds me of sludge actually...son t see as anything awfull and serve the hard rifffing on early songs

It's totally over-saturated, overblown, hollow and ugly to me.

The production isn't that bad but could have been punchier and clearer at the heavy parts. I prefer the Live at Red Rocks versions of the t/t and Era, they have more power.

PC, the one I can't finish...I'm committed to do that today...

Just finishing this and the main issue is not production for sure...though I get your critiques...this feels very very long...some later songs here get very melloow, unnecessarily I'd say...I always put this album on and as I start, I don't agree with 3 rating...then I start to agree. Very unbalanced, but is clear they are experimenting.

Ah yeah, I get that. I prefer PC over this though, Eternal Rains and River (and the two closers) are amazing to go good on that one and here I don't really love anything sadly.

New one rules so hard, can't stop listening.

Nice!! They're super worth it, sounds like a nice idea.

New one is a ray of sunlight through the October rain/clouds/cold that has been above NL for a week now.

Oooh! Great pick for a 5.0 though that one, it certainly is one of their best. Along with MAYH, Heritage and Morningrise for me.

Call me a naive kid who don't know the history and tropes of prog, but I do not love Hammond or moog organs in my metal.

lolol I do love them on that album tho...and a few others from other bands...that's pretty much a pre-conception I had for years though...its an acquired taste, like red wine.

..plus the album's songwriting fucks hard!

GR is not on the same level as any Opeth album that came before it.
