I actually had this as a 5 for a while; had to bump it down but I remember feeling so excited about it when it was brand new. It still might be my favorite Neurosis album. I love how concise it is (like others have mentioned, it may actually be too short! But I'd rather that than the alternative). Bending Light, Broken Ground, and Reach are all probably top 10 neurosis for me.

'Reach' vocals first line sounds exactly like 'land of sunshine' faith no more weirdly.



Albums great its just all a bit more condensed but Title track especially and reach are superb.



And that second half of 'a shadow memory'

That intro guitar line to Bending Light is pretty bad though, really doesn't work.
