Listened to the first three songs and it was basically just the singles but then it made me depressed and I had to stop. lol

I just read about that show, TooManyFriends! Sounds incredible!

Also, I'm liking the feel/reinvention. A more honed in interpretation of 'Happiness Is' is a good shout (whoever before mentioned that) from what I've gathered so far!

Looking forward to getting a good few listens in!

Saw TBS back in '11 and they were great. They played mostly stuff from their s/t, which I really enjoyed despite being in the minority on this site.

You Don't Look Back sounds a lot like The Boys of Summer and the rest of the song isn't even that good

"Fences" is starting to seriously challenge "Death Wolf" as my favorite off this.

Surprisingly the best songs on here are the ones that don't sound like TBS

I agree with that. I've never been a huge TBS fan to begin with, so that might partially explain it.

Haven't had interest in their material after Louder Now and I doubt this will change that. Saw them for the first time a few months ago and they put on a decent show, though.

The melody and lyrics on Fences are just...so pretty.

"like they've finally realized 7 records in what kind of band they want to be"

Oh wow, and I haven't listened to these guys since Where You Want To Be.

You should. I'm not a TBS fanatic but I like it a lot.

just finished listening. first impressions are that the first four tracks are great and then it falls off a little. even so, i'd say it's probably still their best since WYWTB

Homecoming is a much better late track than I remembered from my first few spins

Woah, didn't expect a sparkling review for this album and definitely not from Sowing. I am actually excited to check this out now. Their last two outings were very disappointing imo

this doesn't suck nearly as much as i thought it would but is still kinda lame
still some pretty great songs tho, easily the best since the reformation of this lineup
