im honestly surprised this album does so very little for me because this band was so integral for getting me into core that i fuck with pretty much everything else theyve done (literally like my 8th most scrobbled band lmao) and even dig their more polarizing albums a lot (ex: i love both anti mother and deathrattle) so youd think id be all over this but its so boring to me

i think its almost too immediate for lack of a better term like i honestly dug this more first listen than most of their discog but it never grew on me or gave me that many reasons to keep coming back vs everything before it. like nothings bad on it but it doesnt have much that excites me. feel pretty similarly about all hail too but that ones a little better imo

all hail is a strange album for me because upon release i absolutely fuckin loved it and jammed it maybe more than any other album that dropped that year but its aged like milk. anna is still one of their best tho
