Apologies for the late response.

Hah, it's definitely a debut. Not my favorite in the slightest, but you gotta start somewhere.

Three Imaginary Boys is to The Cure as Pablo Honey is to Radiohead. Okay record, that doesn't even begin to show to immense potential of the group. I think at this moment of their career Smith and his 2 bros suffer for not being enough people. It doesn't let them huge 2 guitar and bass complementary riffs, it misses a huge lot of synths, and Robert's lyrical are really not at their peak. An okay record, but considering their incredible career, this is not one that I would revisit.

i generally agree though. i havent done a deep enough dive as i should on the cure admittedly. i have been relistening to disintegration quite a bit because that release really is in a league of its own. pornography has some very interesting things going on but it lacks a distinct focus to keep me engaged in its weirdness. still admire it but need to give it another look
robert smith is such a big inspiration to me

Why is this band called The Cure when they literally offer no cure whatsoever?
