this album deserves at least a 4, its a grower over time

This album is fantastic! There is nothing I can find that I would change about it! The whole album is prefect in every way and is fast becoming my favourite album ever! Everytime I listen to it I end up loving it more and more! It has no faults!

All of Jeff's original songs on here are worth like 4.5 or 5/5 in my eyes apart from So Real which is probably worth 4/5 or 3.5/5. In conclusion; Jeff's original songs are either amazingly excellent or just good.



The covers are the letdown, Hallelujah is worth a good 3.5/5 in my eyes, Lilac wine probably 3/5 due to being a little out of place next to the other tracks, with Corpus Christi Carol being the only song i'd really skip because it's not my cup of tea, but Jeff still sings excellently on it, so I can't really fault it other than it feels out of place.



Forget her is worth like good 4.5/5 too, if we're including that track on the re-issue.



Basically; the album quickly became one of my favourite albums of all time when I finally "got it" after a few months of owning it.This Message Edited On 09.22.06

So Real is sadly underrated.

Not really. It's probably the worst song on the album, next to Corpus Christi Carol. By worst, I mean not as awesome as the rest but still good.

Dream Brother stands out the most, in my opinion. Such a great, emotional and actually heavy track.

Hallelujah is beautiful. I have to listen to this album more, but so far I really like it.

This CD is fantastic. This was always a CD I pushed off for some reason. I just heard it in its entirety and I am considering putting this on my top 100 list. Boy have I been missing out.

get Lover, you should have come over Live at Sin-e, he drags it out another couple of minutes but he makes it epic.
something about the rawness of it makes me like it much more than the studio version.
