Chasing Ghosts literally sounds like Ocean but with less shitty water metaphors.
Was that the one that has Pittsburgh? That was a fantastic song that they never could repeat.

Chasing Ghosts really hit me, the atmosphere and lyrics in those songs were perfect. Plus the songs were pretty varied, whereas Ocean had like 8 songs that were basically the same

Ok so like every time I listen to this band it's good and then the clean singer comes in and he sounds like a fucking robot and ruins it. That's not just this album btw it's all of theirs.

It's not even the autotune he just sounds completely emotionless. It really kills the entire song, except a few songs on Let The Ocean Take Me where he sounds like he actually wanted to be there.

Auto tune is just correcting out of tune performances, and seeing as how Ahren can't sing in tune live, I'd say it's a fair assumption

This was so much more formulaic and boring to me, every song save for a few sounded so similar. Youngbloods and Chasing Ghosts at least I could tell the songs apart from each other

Yeah what prompted me to make my earlier comment about the clean singer was after I had just watched about 12 of their videos on Youtube. The songs on this album were boring as fuck. To be honest the Ocean ones were the only ones I liked.

auto tune/pitch correcting, call it what you want, its used way too much with ahren and does ruin it. their first album I can listen to because it's not used there
