"Tracks 2, 5, 6, 10, and 11 are undeniably better than the rest"

Swap 6 out for 7 and I agree. As Ash suggests, 'Carry It On' is excellent.

I just can't get my head around how much I actually like this though. The fact that 5 (or 6) tracks are clearly better than the rest still suggests that this is an EP that has been padded out. That cohesive flow may indeed strike me at some stage though.

I mean, tracks 3 and 9 are perfect interludes flow-wise

honestly the first half of Patient Man is the only part of this I dislike, and even then, once it really gets going, oh man, so good

this has sadly fallen out of my 2016 top 10, but it's still my favorite debut LP this year, so that's gotta count for something

Almost done jamming this, on first try "Naked we rise" clicked, but didn't like "Sertraline".

For some reason, little of the album sticks; it sort of just rushes over me. Except for Naked We Rise, which has one of the saddest melodies I've ever heard, but I don't know if that's a good thing. Perhaps the music's too pleasant for me.
