First time i've actually listened to an album by them in full to be fair. Not gonna lie, the inclusion go Gavin Harrison made me check this out. Quite a solid effort.

Variations on a Dream and Little Man are really good, but the rest is hit and miss IMO. I liked Magnolia because it's more engaging. Curious to hear this one.

I'm pretty sure the band read this review, the official twitter accounts for The Pineapple Thief and their audio mixer liked the link I posted of this on Twitter.

They mind neg'd

First time I listen to the band, it wasn't very exciting but it was a good chill after all the stormy albums I listened this week so far. I kinda want the band to get more angry and agressive on some parts, is the old material as chill as this or more Porcupine Tree(ish)?

It's more towards the acoustic / melancholic vibe other than Someone Here Is Missing which is probably their most aggressive album

Thanks Mad. I'll give that one a try

The bridge/solo combo on In Exile is an orgasm

it makes me so mad that In Exile is so good but then nothing else on here lives up to it

Such a frustrating band. A discography of unfulfilled potential. This is a good album but feels too short and too linear.
This band has so many good moments, but at the end it always feels like they should be composing even more amazing music

That Shore is so damn good.

Favorite songs so far: In Exile, Fend For Yourself. A special treat is an alternative "Fend For Yourself" digital-only single with The Anchoress contributing vocals.

This is probably their best and most cohesive album. Definitely darker than most and some hints of PT/SW here and there, but still very very good. The addition of Gavin Harrison was a strong move and it paid off. Slightly better than Dissolution.

That Shore man, love it

This might be my favorite TPT along with Variations and Little Man, maybe even superior to those two. It's easy to listen to, memorable and emotional, more than the previous alt-rock leaning albums like Magnolia or All the Wars. It just clicked after a few listens. Can't wait to relisten Dissolution and Soord's solo albums.

Also, That Shore really is great, among the best here

Have you heard "8 Years Later", the B-sides to this album? It's got some pretty cool tracks
