"This is by far their best effort, it is AOTY contender for me, it is avant-garfish stuff"
not even by a long shot, that would be No Youth imo, this year i much rather have Muscle and Marrow's latest over this but that album is a beast, this is alright

Sorry to be that guy, but they both sing. The last track is all Ignat, pretty sure Felix isn't on it at all. Not a huge deal but whatevs. Good review even though I disagree.

is there a source that can verify which of the two sings where? I might have to comb through this review and double check some things then, erk :s. i fixed that one bit, but now i'm self-conscious and feeling a bit silly
does Ignat sing the smoother sung portions throughout?

I think they both do harsh and sung/spoken word vocals, and they're often double tracked or singing together (especially on this album), so it can be hard to tell sometimes.
But to get a general idea, Unwant is all Ignat and Liver is all Felix.
Ignat's scream is deeper (Corpse Museum, The Clearing, Bullwhips), Felix's harsh vox are a little higher/gravelly (Powders, Languish)

that album art is tacky as fuck, they shouldnt have changed their a e s t h e t i c

@taxt - cheers. some of the vox are doctored quite a bit, so that makes it a bit confusing. i'll try and slyly edit this

I thought powders was great. One of my fav tracks this year.

I considered reviewing this before settling on Muscle and Marrow just because I didn't really know what to say about this. I like "Powders" though. Kind of surprised by its criticism.

I really enjoyed this, especially the deeper vocalist. The Clearing is wicked.
