I feel like if anything this aged well. Catch Fire is one of their worst songs but otherwise this is a pretty damn consistent album. The Way the News Goes and Remain Indoors are melodic periphery at their best

This album is a bit of a slog. Second half is pretty good though, Absolomb rules! I don't even mind Catch Fire to be honest, it's generic but a great ear worm. Album just goes by without no real feeling for me, it's not bad, just not that interesting.

Think you're right actually Alex, I remember first listening to this album and it left a bad taste. It wasn't until I started listening to songs individually for me to appreciate them more. There's some great stuff tucked into the back end of this album.
