I completely missed TDAG. The first song I heard by them was "Sic Transit Gloria," and then I heard "Okay, I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't" (which I only listened to because I recognized the Home Alone II reference), and then kind of ignored the band until this album came out. I have no emotional attachment to TDAG like I do to 'Deja Entendu' and this album, so while I recognize the great music on it, it's at least #3 for me.

This is a pretty depressive album. It's also really pretty in some parts. The rockier parts of it remind me of Nirvana for some reason.

I find myself listening to this album the most as of late. Like Sowing said, the lyrics make sense on a whole new level now. At The Bottom is so damn good.

I listened to this again this morning and it was cathartic. I love the crackling, misty woods feel to this thing. I can't explain how 'You Stole' sounded while walking up my driveway watching the sun rise through the trees. Or the way those picked notes atop "little light, lead us through the night" felt on Noro.
I've been going back and forth between this and Science Fiction as the 2nd best Brand New album; I might have found my answer today. It always seems that I prefer whichever one I'm listening to at the moment though, so we'll see. I doubt it's a debate that will be settled any time soon considering I don't have a clear preference after all this time.

"I love the crackling, misty woods feel to this thing"
well this is like the best thing to listen to on a rainy day as well so I agree hard with your statement
also, listening to Out of Range right after this reassures it: this is my fave Brand New

Nothing beats TDAG for me personally but yeah Daisy is so underrated here which feels weird to say when it has a 3.9. Here's what I think the site averages should probably be for their albums:
TDAG: 4.5
Daisy: 4.1
Science Fiction: 4.1
Deja: 3.9
YFW: 3.5

On my first listen through. This’ll take a few spins to digest. I can already tell it’s not quite as good as Devil and God, but recreating that type of greatness is nearly impossible. It’s definitely good though. There’s something unnerving about the whole thing that I love.
You Stole blows me away though.
