honestly be gone really kept this from a 5 for me as well so I could see knocking the rating down a bit cause of it, it kinda ruins the flow of the album. I understand a disruptive interlude i just think its pretty bad in this case, if it was like screamed vox then I probably would have 5'd this. I just don't get the vocal effect choice at all. There's nothing appealing about it and distracts from the instrumental hardcore.

I don't remember where (may have been this site or even this review, idk) but when this came out I remember someone mentioning how the band was able to make an inimitable album with a lot of the production choices and a song like Be Gone is a good example of that. There's nothing quite like it. And with the kind of scene the band came up and through, that's pretty unique.

Bumping this to a soft 4.5. Definitely growing on me more every time I listen, but I'm not sure if it'll ever be a 5 and not my least favorite.
