Though not my top KD, I do hold the opinion that the world was not prepared for the genius of this album

Is this like a sequel to Coffins? Still need to jam.

It's like Coffins left the creepy 80s ghost highway and went on a technicolour retro space voyage

"Technicolor retro space voyage"

Uh. Yeah I think I'll take that over the Stranger Things Toby album. That description is dope

I never gave this a proper listen since I was synthed out after Coffins. Guess it's time to dive in.

Need to round off my discog marathon with a listen of this - used to be my least fave but it might top Gamma Knife now. Taking a synth detox after Coffins was definitely wise though; there's a LOT in that department here

Whole discog is fantastic but Coyote would be my least fav.

Coyote has finally come up from last place and is giving Blue Lambency some competition. Might do a full song ranking (with pretty descriptions) at some point...

Coyote takes a lot to fully appreciate. I'd say it's their most challenging album to sit down and listen to. I remember I saw them perform it live, and bought the CD after the show. When I got back my family was at my apartment waiting for me to get home, and my aunt was asking me about the show. 'Oh it was really great.' She asks me to put the CD on...I'm like 'uhhh no maybe another time.' She keeps coaxing me. 'Alright, alright!' First song comes on, everyone in the room feeling uncomfortable in the first 15 seconds. I let it play a little longer before I shut it off. One of the most awkward moments of my life.

That's hilarious. Yeah Coyote is definitely one of the weirdest albums I've heard, my least favorite of Driver's output along with Library Loft. Blood Inside by Ulver give both a run for their money too in the weird/challenging department.

With the right headphones this album is insane. Was noticing some layers I've never heard before the other night. Might bump my score.
