Yeah this is definitely more enjoyable, guess I'm just not a fan of dodgy lo-fi production, haha. Also the vox don't bother me as much. I'm not 100% re the history of this release (despite having read about it briefly) but I'm pleased this exists.
It doesn't quite strike a chord with me like the latest 2 albums/Midian do (yet), guess there's time.

Cruelty is next, I've only checked the 4 CoF albums so far. I'd heard that Cruelty was more like the original version of Dusk & thus I tried Midian first for something different. Pleased I did though, love that one.

I'd say Cruelty is closer to Midian than to Dusk personally, but hey. It has got that more musically diverse thing that Midian also has, whereas Dusk is a little more monotonous in its sound.
