Yeah the venue makes a huge difference. Once was in a bigger venue and they were opening for TesseracT and Plini so things are always a big messy when you're on first. The other time was at a smaller club which usually has pretty great sound but I guess that just wasn't their day.
Plus with a band like this I think it matters where you're standing so I might've just had a bad spot.

I first saw them open for TesseracT/Plini too, but in a smaller ~300 person venue, and it sounded awwwwwesome. 100% where you're standing too.
