The energetic parts on here feel kinda canned, I think it needed to commit and not have such bitchy 'safe' lyrics. Save the riff on AOS, you could scrap the entire album from elephant onwards

Nah, this is a really fun album. They never had a unique bone in their body anyway, Fake History was just dressed up Glassjaw worship.
And just like all their other stuff (minus album numero uno), this has got some super catchy jams and it's easy as hell to listen to

It doesn't suck, but it's a huge drop in quality from TBB. I feel like there should've been an album halfway between TBB and this, sound wise. The drastic change is jarring and for the most part it's meh at best. The highlight tracks are the only thing that save this from a 2.5.
