If the rest of the album carries the quality of the singles I might even have to 4 it

Modern Misery is honestly my favorite of the three singles so far. Fucking rules. Music video is probably my favorite of the year so far too. Beautiful shots.

First time I've been hyped for an Architects album in years, feels good.

The riffs on the new track are really infectious. I still like royal beggars a little more because of the mid melodic section but this is growing on me.

Modern Misery might be my favorite of the new singles. That outro is sweet

So y'all are saying it doesn't sound like their last 50 songs?

It undoubtedly sounds like their last 50 songs, but it has a cool little lead during the chorus/outro and I dig those parts. The heavier moments are typical Architects though and even the vocal patterns sound identical to plenty of their other songs.

They say if it ain’t broke why fix it? When bands switch it up they usually alienate their fan base. These guys seem to have found the perfect balance though, because their fan base is increasing exponentially

Linkin Park and BMTH are the godfathers of change

These guys were always switching it up in the early days though. Their first four albums could genuinely be four different bands, but then they locked into a sound and refused to change it up, even after the death of their primary songwriter. Or so it seems thus far, based on the singles.

There's keeping a consistent sound and staying fresh, and then there's recycling riffs and parts and being stale. These guys are doing the latter.
