As evident by his old CC stuff his type of growl can sound really cool, but only when it's recorded/produced/mixed properly and has the right atmosphere behind it. Hearing it so raw it and on top of the mix it just sounds awful.

i was going to make a post about how it's not deserving of a 1 and there's a lot less listenable stuff out there.



but as it kept going on i just found myself wondering how it's possible to make some of the catchiest 80s metal sound so fucking boring and lifeless. seriously you will praise the sun whenever you get to an actual solo or a guitar lead of any kind, everything else is just ugh. vocals are standard six feet under garbo



this makes sunn o))) sound like camel or rush by comparison
