dylan anderson is also a tenor. nor is he that high placed compared to some of his contemporaries like vic fuentes or anthony green. and remember, being able to sing high is not what makes someone a countertenor. i myself am a baritone, and i can hit notes in the countertenor range, yet i am NOT a countertenor. voice types, including countertenor, are decided more by vocal timbre, colour, and tone than by vocal range. dylan anderson could sing high, however, the qualities of his voice were that of a tenor.

That makes sense, because I too can hit very few countertenor notes only being a baritone myself. Like you've stated before, it's hard to pinpoint a countertenor outside of classical music so just hearing a high voice in this genre puts me in that mindset of "Ooo he has a high voice"
