The second half of this album has some of the most straight forward honest lyrics I've heard in a while.

Fair enough ;D

Keyword: "teen"...I'm too old for this angsty songwriting. Only redeeming quality is the guitar tone, which is unapologetically 90's indie rock influenced.

I see what you're saying but I massively appreciate this effort. It's a belter and a billion times better than the usual souless teen guff

I'm taking the cynics route, but like...you're hitting the textbook indie college kid checklist hard with this one...

-I love Kanye. MBDTF is a modern classic!

-R.I.P. David Bowie. Blackstar is testament to his mystique and genius!

-My record sounds like Pavement, GBV...oh what do you know!! I'm signed to Matador Records!

it could be worse, he couldve been signed to Run For Cover records and made a c-tier grunge album. look at life as glass half full.

The attitude/style is a reflection of his corny, sadboy songwriting. I said that's why I don't like it.

I mean, his lyrics aren't the most witty but they're hardly corny and cliche.

i think this album does a lot more to stand above the sadboi funtimes that plague the indie section of bandcamp. ive heard enough of that garbage as it is and this is one of the few that has stood out to me as substantial (and amazing)

I'm just playing a little hostile as the only person so far in this thread that didn't like the record. Sorry for being an ass :p

haha no problem, can totally understand that
to be fair, i was ready to hate this record even after liking one of the singles and have been pleasantly surprised. I can totally get not liking his attitude tho
