Mike has used the fuck word in various LP demos, and of course there are the edits from reanimation. Shit too! You can occasionally get an uncensored demo on a special edition, etc. And of course any LP concert is littered with tons of cursing.

I agree with all of your major points. Great hip-hop album! I'm not a fan of Right Now and Petrified either, but a combined 2.5/20 is a little harsh I'd give them a combined 8/20. They're definitely not on par with the other songs on this album, but I'd much rather listen to those two over and over instead of a 50 Cent or Akon album.

And I agree that Kenji is amazing. It's hip-hop *and* historical at the same time... The Rising Tied is a gem in the global trash heap of 50 Cent, Akon, etc.

Buy it.

I own this but haven't listened to it in a long time. I might dig it out and give it a good hard listen. I liked when I first got it but my musical taste has dramatically changed since then.

this is better than anything Linkin Park ever came out

though they're kinda hard to compare.

I don't like rap that much, although there are a few artists i still enjoy and I also like Linkin Park. I didn't think I'd like this as much as I did though.

Always meant to check this out but kept forgetting. Just heard Kenji and it's great, is the rest of the album as solid?

Depends really. The production is excellent, but the rapping isn't all that great - it's a bit like Kanye West that way. Idk I think pretty much the whole album is great but I can see how someone wouldn't like it.

i dont know who you are but, im by reading this review and seeing how you feel about a few of these songs is just discusting. do you have a soul? honestly. right now is about how quickly your life can go from one thing to the next. and you should probably give it another listen, and keep some compassion in mind this next time. dont just hear the song, actually listen to it.

Same. I just threw it on and it's still pretty damn good. A lot better than his work in LP.

I still wish Shinoda would become a full-time producer.

I remember when I was in love with Linkin Park.. first band I got really into. In fact, that's why I bought this.

Things changed, especially when LP went to shit with MTM.
