best chameleons [2]

I've only heard the first three albums once so far. The other two are close to this in quality, but the guitar work is most engaging on here and the songwriting is generally more mature and compelling to me. All three are excellent though.

I would've maybe handed best guitar work to WDAM?B, but this one does have Mad Jack, Time and In Answer, I guess

I need to jam more, but the guitar melodies just really stood out to me on this, and I already loved the guitar work on the first two.

The layering in general but specifically the way the guitars and keyboards interact in this band's music is sublime. There are some fantastic soundscapes on here, like the coda of Time and the End of Time and I'll Remember.

What's really impressive is that they can make this ambitious, innovative music in the context of perfectly made, catchy and digestible post-punk, even bordering on pop rock at times (the darker side obviously, like the Smiths).

Monkeyland is great too. I could have made a top 30 songs list of The Chameleons, that is how awesome they are.

What a nice day today, much rain, no minute of sun, I love fall / autumn, and my 2 favourite months are coming soon! I really like the melancholic feeling.

Time to listen to Strange Times and Script Of The Bridge today.

also I can imagine the beginning of the song Seriocity being part in a commercial on TV about a soup.

I went on a chameleon video watching binge a few days ago. Man are they cute as fuck. Would consider getting one as a pet if I lived in a warmer climate

This album is amazing, love the first two but this one seems to be even better after a several listens. The first half in particular is incredible but there isn’t a weak track and they all are quite distinct (unlike on the first couple where some songs kind of blur together).
