yeah production feels wacky, partly because the song writing is weird so stuff comes in and leaves at random, but yeah, def weird. but I thought collide's production sounded a little sterile so i'm alright with it

Collide with the Sky was one of the best produced albums in the genre that I've ever heard though.

damn, almost completely forgot a bout this. sucks that they made this, not that it's per say bad, but incredibly underwhelming compared to the juggernaut that collide was. completely obliterated hype I had for a band I used to consider one of my unexpected favorites. sigh

This whole album kind of sounds like a Selfish Machines Part 2 to me

I honestly think that The Divine Zero is their best track ever.

I might be wrong but didn't the drummer recently get accused of sending videos of his dick to an underage fan?

Shit man I just read all about it. Gross. He was in his early 20's and she was 14? And then a 15 year old too? It was "consensual" at the time, but come on, what 14-15 year old has their head screwed-on straight? Very disappointing. He's stepped away from the band and they therefore cancelled their upcoming tour.

Rumor is this was just to avoid prosecution in the UK, where these events happened 10 years ago. The infamous UK tabloid media would also have some fun with them there.

Texas Is Forever is still a jam. First half of this is definitely enjoyable.

Although I liked this album, I only come back to a few tracks. Their other albums I like to listen to all the way through

I finally gave Selfish Machines a full listen (only really listened to The Boy Who Could Fly and the closer for whatever reason and I obviously heard the main 2 singles) and i don't think I'll ever care for Caraphernelia, and Bulletproof Love isn't bad but the rest of it was great.

and as average as I remember this album being, there was nothing bad about it. the band is overall pretty consistent

A couple of jams on Misadventures but honestly yeah they need CWTS II. Haven't heard much from them other than they're working on "something really special":
