I honestly don’t mind if they never release anything as a band again, I’m more interested to see what Yorke’s next solo album will be like (assuming there is another one)

I'd like them to take another shot at it tbh

The Smile tells me they’ll just fudge it up. Stop spoiling your legacy (especially when I don’t have the benefits of nostalgia) 😆

thom's solo stuff doesn't really excite me tbh, i feel there's a chance (however slim) they'll hit on something great again if they're all in the room

They just need to lean into the weird
This album is the safest Radiohead has played it since The Bends and idk if I would keep checking new Radiohead releases if they keep it safe like that
The first Smile album is way worse though, it's like dead air

Yeah I gotta be honest Thom’s solo stuff is pretty mid, for me at least. Couldn’t get into Smile either but I enjoyed it more than this. This does have 4 pretty good songs, but man does it leave a lot to be desired

Anima and A Light for Attracting Attention were excellent, both high 4s for me. Really interested in the new Smile this month, especially given how weird Bending Hectic was.

The anima video was pretty sweet too. I need to revisit his solo stuff. This album is meh. All I’ve ever really returned to is ful stop

"They should make a better final album"
Not to yap too much but I think about this a lot and eh, idk, this album is kinda the perfect swan song. Obviously I'm biased bc I love this album. But it was clear to me personally after TKOL the band didn't have much else to say, even this album itself is mostly just a collection of old songs finally put to tape (which isn't necessarily new for Radiohead), and topping it off with TLW is just the perfect love letter to long time fans and a somber goodbye. Not sure where they'd even go musically from here, we don't need an OKC or In Rainbows pt. 2 - we already have those albums to listen to. Besides, The Smile is a cool project and is basically just Radiohead 2 lol
