Yeah but if I had to pick between garlic and unions...

I wouldn't be able to pick.

'Pablo Honey is awful and pretty much has zero merit outside of being what kicked off Radiohead. Whole album is just near bottom of the barrel for 90s Alt Rock.' (2)

Let's be serious: many bands have amazing debut but not radioheads case. All started with OK Computer.

It's no amazing debut, agreed, but it gets way too much flak for not being as amazing as their others.

The Bends is where it started bro, not OKC.

Nah, The bends has Street spirit and fake plastic trees (and a couple good tracks more) but can't compare.

I'm not saying pablo honey o r the bends are bad albums, the bends is great but...

I agree (first time for everything), you picked the best tracks as well. I do think it's a 'great' album, but not even comparable to OKC, Kid A or In Rainbows (personally TKOL is better too and Amnesiac is of similar quality).

This album has continued to creep (heh) to the point I only barely rate it below the Bends - both are very consistent though this one is probably the properly better one but Bends wins because it’s got a couple massive nostalgia classics.

The Bends was one of the biggest albums of the '90s and meant a hundred times more than this at the time - that is a massive factor in how I see and hear both.

The Bends flows a bit better as a full appealing listen...yeah The Bends wins in every regard but this is still their fifth best

'The Bends' is easily, *easily* the more important of the two. Radiohead didn't even need to release this album (and a lot of people didn't think they ever would). But "importance" is (mostly) a non-factor in my valuation of an album (that is, importance to 'the band' or 'music in general', not personal importance to *me*) and 'A Moon Shaped Pool' is precisely my aesthetic, more so than the grungier 90s rock.

I feel like the only person who doesnt care too much for Fake Plastic Trees. Id say Street Spirit and My Iron Lung are the two best.
