its so loud. Listening to it for an extended period of time with how brickwalled the production is is painful

At first it felt wrong to 5 such an entertaining album with questionable vocals and an apparently problematic production (what), but there is just nothing for it.

If it's too loud, turn it down! It's too melodic for it to be too loud, in my opinion.
Also, if you think this album is a 1 then you're retarded (some offense meant). Slightly different story if you're keeping it at a 1 for attention reasons, but even then it's retarded. This is at least - AT LEAST - a 3. And I can't imagine why anyone could give it that unless vocals to them are literally 90% of the music which, again, is retarded.

I love this album but no it isn’t an objective 3. I can see all manner of (potential) reasons why someone might not like this, same with anything it’s a matter of personal preference/taste. But yes that is probably a joke 1.0 in this instance.

Admittedly I'm super biased, but I don't see how someone can say this album is 'average' or below unless they simply don't like metal and vote it low accordingly. The only thing average or below in this album could be the vocals, and personally, I think that they compliment the concept of the album astonishingly well considering that I didn't like the vocals in the first 2 albums that much. David DiSanto's voice portrays the betrayal and eventual unlearnable malice that the character experiences throughout the album.
Sorry for sounding like a pretentious douchebag.

Guess I'm just a retarded ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah I can understand people rating this low if they don't like metal at all, but if you're not a pussy this is at least a 3.
