@Drift There's tracks on here that I just never get the urge to play again. Shit like 9, Still Here, Weston Road Flows are all cool but I'm never in the mood to listen to em. Luckily the really good songs make up for it.
Scorpion's first disc puts this to shame and the 2nd disc is on par with how decent More Life was.

Only listened through th first track. Not bad at all. Just par for the course Drake at this point with a few standouts
Edit: I meant first disc of Scorpion

2nd disc is dope
but man I'm so tired of those pseudo boom bap joints with the singing samples like Emotionless and Sandra's Rose. same flow same everything every time

My ears perked up with “sandra’s Rose”. At least it’s actually Primo, haha

"Views/More Life/Scorpion all completely boring, drake has totally lost the thread. Or maybe I have. But whatever"
no he hasn't released an actual great song since 2015
he peaked with IYRT and everything since has been dreary as hell

Yeah a lot of the songs on the first disc are nearly identical

IYRTITL was fucking fire. Views was pretty meh. More Life had a couple stellar cuts but sucked overall. He’s just getting boring and samey af

Been playing Skyrim again recently. Makes me wanna jam this on repeat like I did for weeks when I first heard it.

Sorry Drift but this might be my least favorite Drake album so far. I don't even hate it or anything, it's just that the whole cloudy/just-walked-through-a-puddle mood of the whole thing plus that fuckin' "sad drake on a tower" image on the cover are so self-parody-y to me (& not really in a tongue & cheek way as far as I can tell) and despite the fact that it does have some of my fav Drake songs on it, as a whole the idea of actually listening to the entire record isn't super appealing to me

Fr I can't really get into that album. His voice wasn't that great yet

Thank Me Later has Over though. That’s one of my fave Drake cuts ever. But yeah idk if I’d take this over that. Both kind of lackluster as whole projects with some great highlights.

Thank Me Later hasn’t necessarily held up (I used to love it hard, before there were any other albums...) but the production is great. It’s a much better album than this

Thank Me Later's not his best album but it has Karaoke, Fireworks, The Resistance, etc etc and doesn't wear out its welcome
