Yea he’s not amazing or anything but he gets the job done. He’s great on TM especially. I’d definitely start there it’s super fun and compelling.

This release doesn't age well. I bumped it down from 4 to 3.

I never thought his vocals were bad. He's good. Not my favourite but really good

The shorter tracks actually aged quite well for me. With the exception of Bound By Gravity which is definitely the best track on here, the longer tracks, The Architect I'm looking at you(!), aged so poorly.

So, something like 2 years have passed since it's been out. Before writing this I wouldn't be able to recall any of the songs except Architect. That's where my score is coming out from. Album is just... boring. 1985 is simply annoying.

If not Architect I'd probably give 2 to it (Please do notice 2.5 means an average album #RememberTheScale). And the only reason it works is because they got Ihsahn for the screaming part.

Passable.

It's not Ihsahn, it's Einar Solberg from Leprous

Oh yeah. I forgot Einar appeared on album while Ihsahn was on their live show.

I don't think my mistake really changes anything as Einar learned this screaming technique from his brother in law resulting in him sounding familiar ;)
