What do you think is their best? For me, "even in the quietest moments" is a very close 2nd to this

Can't beat this album. Supertramp are an incredibly unique band who blend prog and pop so effortlessly that you don't even realise you're listening to prog! An excellent "gateway drug" if there ever was one xD

I hate that they don't get the same respect as Floyd, King Crimson, etc just because their sound is poppier. They could create songs with epic climaxes and with tons of feels without any need of wankery

Plus they are by far better than all of them lyrically speaking

Agreed. And THAT solo in the title track. It's so perfect, it has to be one of my favourite guitar solos of all time.

Quietest Moments and Breakfast are pretty equal imo. In the former, Give a Little Bit is great but has probably too much airplay, and there are parts in Babaji that I don't always dig. It has the title track and Fool's Overture though. Breakfast has its bunch of overly airplayed too, and it has to weaker songs in Just Another Nervous Wreck and Casual Conversations. Both are 4.5 in my book.

@mr sir lord, Don't even get me started on that shit xD

@jethro, true dat. Also "from now on" has the perfect piano intro to a song imo. Those guys were up there with Abba as masters of pop

Cos people don't give them a chance. Too bad, cos it's a kind of music that is for everyone who likes music.
