Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich was the only person that could've made West Side Story better than it originally was, and she did. Bassist is the coolest [2].

saw luca brasi last night and GMaq came on for Count Me Out, still blows my mind how good her voice is. Tom from Ceres also came out for Overwhelmed/Ill Prepared

Georgia's amazing live, and Ceres are awesome. It sounds like it was incredible. Not going to lie, though, still haven't listened to Luca Brasi outside of the radio.

I really enjoyed By a Thread when it came out, listened to it a lot, and perhaps my rating for it is a bit too high. I'd say that its on par with this album at least. Also you should check the closer off their new album. Perhaps the best thing they've done yet.

Going to give new Ceres' a listen ASAP and then I'll check out Luca Brasi's newest, too. Looking forward to diving more into Ceres, loved their sound the few times I've given them a listen.

Ceres are fantastic, massively underrated imo. They're playing a gig at Northcote social soon, you should definitely go see them if you can, Tom's stage banter is great

i never buy albums but i bought this after hearing 'done' to support a local artist and hoped the rest would be as great. i wasn't disappointed at all - the singer has one of the best new voices i've heard in a while and overall this is catchy as hell

just listened to this in full. damn that last song hits hard...is it about her dad? either way really sad shit. there were 2-3 songs i didn't like too much like Jet Feul... mostly due to the lyrics...kinda cringey. but the rest were incredible especially west side story wow. lyrics are usually so so great and Lost is such a clever song lyrically. overall this is prob a 4 good stuff

Glad to hear that, Con. I agree, Jet Fuels has some questionable lines in it, and I don't like the gimmick of it and even Lost, actually. Both good songs, though, IMO. West Side Story's been my favourite Georgia Maq song for years. Agreed, still gets me.

Lost is a bit gimmicky but it was kinda cute and clever but Jet Fuel was just kinda bad imo. at least lyric wise.

I like this album, but I still feel like GMaq isn't giving it as much as we've seen from her solo material. I dunno, it might be just me though.

I 100% agree, Neo. Check their split with Cayetana, though, I think it's a huge improvement on their sound. Plus there's a version of Footscray Station that's perhaps better than the original.
