the best anco release since feels drops and u guys are talking about it being a grower smfh
I mean it is what it is to me. Given it about 3 listens and I enjoy it, but it isn't close to anything that is an immediate 5 for me. Somewhere in the 3.5-4 range for me.

i didn't even know it took 7 years before i listened to this i just read that after and was like yea that makes sense
idc if this isn't their most innovative release in terms of sounds and textures and song structure, but these are some of the best melodies of anything they've put out, and it feels more genuinely/deeply emotional than almost everything they've done other than feels and spirit. and i like the lyrics more than pretty much everything else they've done, pandas lyrics are always sort of goofy and aveys are great but they don't have the intense honesty that this has
but like more than anything this just feels incredibly genuine and with how well structured these melodies lyrics and textures are it doesn't really matter to me that it's not as innovative as something like hcti

This is pretty whatever

This felt like I was walking through a magical forest at night. Middle songs are alright but the opener and closer really steal the show.

this is the better than any anco record all the back to straw jam tbh
|
| |
^^thats not really saying all that much honestly
like they have had some dec albums from straw jam onward but none of their best material falls into that timeline

Footy is good af. Cool album. Figures all the poopboys with something to prove on here don't like it

Listened to it a ton last night and I definitely dig it more. It took me several listens to really get into more than 2-3 tracks. I just don't know if it has that intangible something extra that would bump this higher for me (maybe partially because Shadow Mine and Seed Song may be tracks I skip after a while even when the rest of the album is still enjoyable. Which makes the album seem fairly brief) but it's definitely growing. And the songs I do really like, I love.

this is really pretty but it goes absolutely nowhere
basically a bunch of nice intros stretched out to 7 minutes each

That's kind of my issue in terms of 5'ing this personally. I LOVE some of these songs. Easy to have on repeat and get immersed in the soundscapes. Gorgeous. But I feel like there are so few ideas on here for an entire album. So I honestly enjoy most of this album a lot - not a lot I can complain about. Other than the fact it doesn't feel fleshed out enough for a 5. Can't put my finger on it. Feels more like an EP's worth of material.
