Gotta get on dat hype for The Hypnotist, breh
Luminesce is really good though. I think the only reason I might not be as into it anymore was I listened to it ad nauseum when it was the only single out, lol.

Always dismissed these guys completely so I've never heard their studio stuff. Saw them once live with Tesseract and they were good, but it's hard when you're not familiar with the material. So coming into this album fresh, it's difficult for me to make comparisons and be disappointed. I'm getting the vibe this is quite different for them, but I'm loving the dominance of clean vocals, and even light atmospherics in a few tracks. Emotional without being cheesy or emo. If they're autotuning the guitarist's vox, then it's not obscene or ruining it for me like it would with slightly more overproduced similar vocals would.

Listen to their previous work. They're all better than this one. Start with Impulse.

I completely agree with you Apollo. It's awesome to drive around on a sunny day with this playing. It's got the perfect vibe for that.

Yes Sir! Really enjoying this. Probably more than their previous record. Favorite tracks at the moment: Skyline, Continuum, The Hypnotist.

This is like a 3.7 for me currently, but need more listens to digest. I like it, but no doubt it's different from the previous albums.
I liken it to "Empire" by Queensryche a bit. It's got that "summer" chill factor.

Hourglass, The Hypnotist, and Safehaven are really good songs I must say. However, I still can't dig this as much as past releases, especially with the near-monotone screams and the fact that the album is like 80% Jesse

Hey guys, been a long..long time, infact I don't think anyone will remember me but that's besides the point I guess. PinkBlackBerry was my name if anyone remembers me!
I honestly remade an account specifically to log in to say that I found this album to be an absolute stunner. I think Jesse's vocals have aged so well, the leads are beautiful and spot on. Lastly, I feel that JTs vocal addition was honestly quite refreshing after Ian's mark on the band. Ian was never bad, but I think JT has much more control over his voice than Ian ever would/could.
I think there are way too many people obsessed with trying to have a Garrison/Augment-Impulse revival. When realistically, that will just never happen. People grow, musical tastes evolve and what your left with is change, no matter which way you slice it. I just wish these guys would continue down this path, continue that fine line between Djent/Metalcore/Posthardcore - I think they found their Niche, personally.
CDs a grower, I found myself at a 4, after several listens I'd probably hazard a 4.5, it's definitely moved up past Impulse in my mind, and pretty damn near surpassing Augment as their best.
Then again - opinions are like assholes guys, we all have one.
