this is a good thing actually, it helps give the soundtrack thematic consistency, like it's building up to something as you proceed in the story.

Yeah I understand why he did it, but the problem is that sometimes the songs are just simply sped up versions of another track. They aren't really different enough to stand out when comparing to the rest of the songs. Individually they're great, but put them together and you wonder why they were separated in the first place.

As much as I love the game and soundtrack, I don't believe they work as well separated from each other, the cycles within the themes are as of that of the story and so as single tracks I don't get nearly as many feels.
Although holy shit is it awesome to jam Spider Dance or Fallen Down

that first paragraph is gooey with hyperbole and really kinda hurts the review imo, actually the whole thing really feels like it was written by a fanboy but you hide it pretty well until the last paragraph so good on you there.
