you def made some good points, but this album just doesn't stop moving me. maybe it's a little saccharine at times, but that combined with its abrasiveness just makes it seem even more honest to me. And Handcuffs is brilliant, man. that metaphor. "It's hard to be the better man when you forget you're trying." The devil and god are raging inside me. pretty meaningful shit i think

Stage 1: Anger the populace with scathing TDAG review
Stage 2: Get everyone to listen to Sunhouse
Stage 3: Sunhouse unseats Brand New as the stereotypical sput-core band

Can you imagine!
on another note I remember when I first bought this album I was spinning it in my car and as i pulled into my road there was as instant when i thought it might be amazing. By the time I'd parked up and closed me front door I knew it was shite.

This was worth the wait and then some - cuts to the bone of the issue that 'emo' often comes across less a traditional youth movement and more a carefully considered pose....obviously made completely ridiculous when the pose in question is to try and put across a state of sensitive despair that's supposedly naturally and truthfully heartfelt. More often than not incredulity or hearty guffaws are the only acceptable response
Also Zak what is that av lol
