Landing Cliffs is one of the best post-rock songs of the year

That one never did a whole ton for me tbh. I should revisit this though. And check some more Explosions albums as well.

Damn, this didn't pull me in at all when I heard it the first few times so I haven't revisited it. Might be time to check it out again.

I love Disintegration Anxiety. The drums don't bother me at all.

"Landing Cliffs is one of the best post-rock songs of the year"

absolutely.

it's going to be on my final compilation of the 15 best songs of 2016 (a thing I do every year and save in my playlists just to always be able to look back at a year and remember what was amazing about it)

Even though this album wasn't what I hoped it would be, I'm still really glad to see it getting some love. I think this album will grow over the years and age like a fine wine.

It's good but not essential. Pretty different than The Earth though so even if you don't like that a whole ton you may dig this.

Well, if you're into EitS, I definitely suggest it! It's pretty standard post-rock, but somewhat more experimental for them as a band.

Then again, if you've never found yourself that impressed with them, then you could probably find something else you'd enjoy more.

EITS is usually hit or miss for me, Earth i don't remember being too big on but Those Who Tell The Truth is a great jam. I dunno, will try to find time to squueze this into my playlist.

I have faith the next one will be even better. Though not focused, this is a step in the right direction. I wanna hear a whole album of darker stuff like Logic Of A Dream from them.

Saw these fellas at the Sydney Opera House last night and it gave me a newfound appreciation for some of the tracks on this, translates really well to the live setting. The t/t was one of the best tracks of the night, and in Logic of a Dream they went full-on live Sigur Ros wall of sound, using violin bows on their guitars. Can definitely recommend catching them if you get a chance
