Listening to Tom Waits can be a very frustrating experience. He has written and performed some terrific songs and made some of the greatest ballads I've ever heard but he has another side, which is the more experimental noisy one that sometimes appeal to me, sometimes don't.

This album has some truly great songs on it. My favorites are A Little Rain, Jesus Gonna Be Here, That Feel, Goin' Out West and I Don't Wanna Grow Up. Earth Died Screaming, Dirt In the Ground, Such a Scream, Who Are You and Whistle Down the Wind are pretty good too. The rest of the songs is not really my cup of tea.

Haven't heard it yet, only know 5 of his albums, but literally all 5 rule hard.

Tom Waits delivers the goods on an extremely consistent basis. Ars, if you haven't heard Alice yet (pretty overlooked) give it a go.
