dude sucker is flat out anemic

its about as trite as a modern pop album can get. its not groundbreaking, its its not even remotely original, its just shy of being so pedestrian that it crosses the street after looking both ways.

the songs i heard here werent exactly good but at least this bubblegum bass phenomena is relatively fresh in comparison. hearing pop vocals over that kind of stuff is a lot more unique than hearing the same boring pop album that gets released by 40 pretty faces a year.

i dont get how people can say this doesn't sound like PC music? its very in line with the stuff sophie/hannah diamond have previously done. charli just makes it more accessible

same reason i respect certain reviewers on here and don't give a flying fuck about the opinions of literally thousands others: he's done a lot of reviews. and they're usually good.

I have a lot of time for Fantano, as I think his reviews are always well-structured and well-delivered, but honestly it doesn't surprise me that we have differing opinions - I usually very rarely dig what he digs.

There's never going to be a reviewer who everyone can agree has an objectively wrong or right opinion, it's just much appreciated that (for 99% of the time at least) he will put a lot of care into explaining his viewpoints rather than 'this sucks I hate it'.

basically. i disagree with him on the vast majority of his ratings but i still think hes a fine reviewer.

I watch most of his videos and the only view I even know he holds is that he's vegan. Not my thing but more power to him.

I dunno, I guess I just like the way he explains, even if he's giving something a light to decent 1 it will usually try and make positives somewhere (Big Sean notwithstanding) rather than just shitting on something just because he has an audience.

Always liked Fantano, seems like a cool guy, and I agree with a lot of his views.

That aside, I see how people could like this, but it's not doing much for me. Could grow on me. Does anyone know where I should start with her? Sucker seems to be a bit polarising here.

I didn't want to resort to manic hyperbole or just discrediting the album for the sake of it. I just enjoyed nothing of the experience, and her 'art' has gone from boring to actively annoying.

I don't wanna come across as justifying my rating as its my choice after all but suffice to say there was more to it than 'IMNOTREALLYFEELINGTHISSO1LOLOLOLOL'.
