2 people have negged this now??? It's a great review.

Intrigued to listen to this but it's not on spotify yet and I'm not quite intrigued enough to seek it out elsewhere

Quite enjoyed it after a couple of listens, it offers a lot more than their debut album. Especially like 'If I Believe You' and 'Somebody Else'. 'This Must Be My Dream' reminds a bit of Mew as well on their No More Stories...album.

It is unnecessarily long, but it is growing on me the more I listen to it.

people just really hate short reviews for some reason.

I understand not liking short reviews and I'm part of that crowd. One paragraph reviews because I just don't think a review that short does any album justice. 3-4 is pretty ideal for me and 2 is alright.

i think a review can be pretty much any length if it can get hte point across, and this review does just that.

@Clover Yea not saying it didn't. I mean that many 1 paragraph/short reviews I've seen I didn't like. If it's gonna be 1 paragraph then you might as well just sound off it.

Love this band, glad to see some experimentation on this record. They could've easily played it safe and made a bunch of songs that sound like She's American. This Must Be My Dream is my fave, when dat sax solo hits.....OOFF!

But yeah that album title could give some post rock bands a run for their money

Great review. I disagree that the bombast and sheen remove traces of humanity... I think if anything those elements are part of the album's charm.

this is quite good. i went back and listened to the first album after hearing this and it was way more boring and safe in comparison.
